True Blood is loosely based on the book series Southern Vampire Mysteries.

True Bloodis an excellent TV show.

The story separates itself from the books after the first season, but that's OK. You should watch this show.

Elena and her brother Jeremy lives in Mystic Falls with their aunt Jenna. She moved in as their guardian after they lost their parents.

On Elena's first day back at school after her parent's death she meats Stefan, a mysterious new guy. What Elena dos not know is that Stefan is an old vampire.

They gradually grow closer, until Stefans`s older brother, Damon, shows up and acts like an evil bastard.

I remember liking Vampire Diaries at on point, but then I grew tired of the show. It is a popular show, so you should probably give it a try.

Mick St. John is a private eye and a vampire. He was turned into a vampire over fifty years ago.

A case he is working leads him to Beth Turner, a reporter, and a human woman. Mick feels romantically attracted to this woman, but no matter how tempting, he knows that a vampire-human romantic relation is too dangerous.

Moonlight is a very good series. I can't fathom why it got canceled after only one season. Some of the higher-ups in the TV business must have a screw loose.

Angel is Buffy's first boyfriend, and he is a vampire.

He is doomed to walk the earth with a soul, which destines him to a torturous life.

Angel moves to L.A. after breaking up with Buffy and sets up shop as a kind of supernatural private investigator.

I personally like Angel better than Buffy the vampire slayer. The only thing that is better with Buffy is Buffy.

Bo is a sexy succubus, and to feed she sucks the life force out of people.

For years she did not know what she was and had no control of her feeding.

She fled one corpse after another.

Until one day she accidentally crossed paths with Kenzi, a drifter, and a thief.

Bo rescued Kenzi from a date rape scum bag by killing him, which this time finally made the fae catch up with her.

The fae is split into two sides, light and dark. Each Fae must choose one of the sides, and stick to it.

Bo, who until now has lived outside the faecommunity, vows to live on her own terms. Even if it means existing alone between the dark and the light.

She manages this with the help of her mischievous, but loyal friends. Her friend Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson and the beautiful human scientist Lauren.

While Bo tries to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past, she and her friends also have to tackle other problems that arise.

This is a really cool series if you are into this kind of stuff.

Absolutely worth watching.

Grimms are a group of hunters who fight supernatural forces. They are charged with keeping the balance between humanity and the creatures of myth.

A reformed "Big Bad Wolf", now a reformed vegetarian, becomes his greatest helper and confidant.

The creators have earlier made shows like Buffy and Angle. Grimm has some high standards to live up to, and it does so remarkably well.

This Show is a kind of modern take on the Grimm`s fairytales. Grimm is especially worth watching if you like modern fantasy and police shows.

Lucifer Morningstar is bored with his life and duties as the lord of hell. He decided to take a vacation in the city of angels.

Lucifer owns one of the cities most prestigious nightclubs. There he lives a life full of delicious sin and fun while trading favors with clients.

But when one of his clients is gunned down he teams up with an LAPD detective to solve the case.

Lucifer is so smitten with this detective that he decides to join the LAPD as a consultant. He uses his power to draw out people's deepest desires and wishes to solve crimes.

I love this show.

I know it`s jet another crime show with a specially gifted but flawed main person, but I still love it.

Some people get in a fizzy fit because the TV show goes too far away from the comic. I have never read the comic books so I don really care about that.

Harry Dresden is a wizard from Chicago that works as a private investigator. He actually advertises in the Chicago yellow pages, with the ad written above. He also works as a consultant to the Chicago police with Detective Murphy on those cases considered bizarre.

I was at first a little put off because it differs from the stories told in the books, but after I come over that I started to really like it. The essence of the show is the same as the books, and you get a similar feeling. It is worth watching even if you have not read the books.

Sam and Dean are two brothers who were raised by their father, John, to hunt and kill evil supernatural beings.

Now they have to set out together to search for their missing father.

When they find him he reveals that he has discovered how to track and kill the demon that killed their mother.

Meanwhile, Sam starts to develop frightening abilities. Abilities that include visions of people dying before it actually happens. These visions are somehow connected to the demon who murdered their mother.

Their father suddenly dies. The brothers, now alone, decides to finish the crusade their father started.

Overall, this is one of the better shows of all time.

Not every season and episode hold top quality, but most are very good.

Give it a try. If you like it then you have something to watch for a long time.

Bitten is based on the excellent book series; Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong.

We follow Elena Michaels, a werewolf that abandoned her pack. She took refuge in the city where she got a successful photography career.

But trouble is brewing at the packs home, and her alpha is calling her back. What will come of her peaceful life, and will the pack survive?

Bitten is a good show. Not as good as the books, but absolutely worth watching. Especially if you like paranormal fantasy and werewolves. Its not a teen show. It has older actors.

Harry Dresden, a Chicago bound professional wizard, and the only one with an ad in the yellow pages. Business is sadly dreadful, even for a professional wizard PI. So when the local police ask him for help on a strange double murder, he jumps on it.

The Dresden Files is a must-read for anyone with the slightest interest in this gangrene.

Jane Yellowrock is a skinwalker

She shares her body with the soul of a mountain lion and she can take any form as long as she has some bones with DNA from the shape she wants.

Jane works as a freelance rogue-vampire hunter.

In this first book, she is hired to take care of a nasty rogue-vampire in New Orleans. When she is there she comes in contact with the vampire society and learns about the "sane" vampires. She also learns more about her own Cherokee heritage.

A great story and strong characters make this an excellent series.

You should read this. Absolutely worth checking out if you like these kinds of books.

Rachel Mariana Morgan is a witch in her twenties. She is a part-owner of Vampiric Charms.

Vampiric Charms is a freelance runner and security service.

The other owners of Vampiric Charms are Ivy Tamwood and Jenks. Ivy Tamwood is a living vampire that will become a full vampire if she dies, and Jenks, a small pixy.

They used to work together at the vampire-run federal Inderland Security (IS). It's a police service for the supernatural.

Rachel, Ivy, and Jenks, decided to start their own company together, Vampiric Charms.

They live and work together from a decommissioned stone church. The church is in the Hollows district of Cincinnati and has an attached garden and graveyard. Rachel specializes in simple herb-based earth magic. The Curch garden is important for Rachels's magic.

Overall, an exciting, fun read, that`s hard to put down.

This is a highly recommended Fast-paced and captivating book series.

Kitty Norville is the wolf with the lowest status in her pack. She is submissive to everyone.

She has just realized that she can make it on her own working as a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station. This means that she doesn't need the pack so much as she used to.

Or so she thinks...

Kitty ends up getting one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail.

She may have bitten off more than she can chew?

It's a while since I last read any of these books, but I remember them as fun and interesting. They are worth reading if you like urban fantasy books.
