Description:

Her savor wasEthan Sullivan, the master vampire of the Cadogan House. Merit moves into their mansion and has to learn to live as a vampire while someone still is trying to take her life.
Is Chicagoland Vampires good?
The Chicagoland Vampires is an OK paranormal vampire romance book. It's not among the best in the genre, but its good enough.
If you want more in this genre then its worth reading, but if you want something fresh then you should probably avoid it. It is not unique in its genre.
Bitten (Otherworld #1) by Kelley Armstrong
Elena Michaels is the only female werewolf in the world. She was turned by her former lover Clay. He betrayed her and bit her in his werewolf form.
Elena did not like to live in the pack, so she left to live in human society. She left to live in Toronto with her human lover.
But then the pack alpha calls her to help fight a sudden uprising of murderous mutts. Mutts are werewolves not affiliated with a pack.
Elena Agrees to help fight the mutt uprising, but only because she felt she owes the pack alpha.
Once the mutt uprising is over, Elena will be squared with the pack. She will be free to live life as a human.
Is Otherworld good?
Bitten is an excellent book, and most of the other books in the Otherworlds series are also great. It has interesting characters and a fast-paced plot.
Bitten is a pleasure to read.

Skinwalker (Jane Yellowrock #1) by Faith Hunter
Jane Yellowrock is a skinwalker
She shares her body with the soul of a mountain lion and she can take any form as long as she has some bones with DNA from the shape she wants.
Jane works as a freelance rogue-vampire hunter.
In this first book, she is hired to take care of a nasty rogue-vampire in New Orleans. When she is there she comes in contact with the vampire society and learns about the "sane" vampires. She also learns more about her own Cherokee heritage.
Is Jane Yellowrock good?
A great story and strong characters make this an excellent series.
You should read this. Absolutely worth checking out if you like these kinds of books.
Spider's Bite (Elemental Assassin #1) by Jennifer Estep
Gin Blanco is the Spider, the most feared assassin in the south.
But Gin`s day job is at the Pork Pit, a restaurant she owns with the best barbecue in Ashland.
Gin is both a stone elemental and an ice elemental.
She tries to not use her elemental powers while working as the Spider, but it is handy from time to time.
Gin`s family was murdered when she was thirteen by a notorious fire elemental. A fire elemental that is now the top criminal kingpin in Ashland.
After her family's death Gin ended on the streets but was found by Fletcher Lane, the assassin called the Tin Man. He becomes her mentor and trainer. He helped her to become the superior assassin she is today.
Is Elemental Assassin good?
This is a really good series.
Absolutely worth reading.
I know some complain a little on her writing skills, to much redundancy, but it did not bother me.
Hounded (The Iron Druid Chronicles #1) by Kevin Hearne
Atticus O'Sullivan is the last of the Druids, and he runs an occult bookshop in Arizona. He is a handsome, tattooed Irish dude that looks like he is in his early twenties, but in actuality, he is over twenty centuries old.
Atticus is shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. He is giving the dog the same life-extending potions that he takes himself, so his dog is way older than the average seven years a wolfhound gets. When they are not hunting they watch movies and have witty conversations together.
Atticus draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword. The sword is known as Fragarach and it can cut whatever it hits. In this first book, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries. He has finally tracked Atticus down.

The Iron Druid Chronicles is an exciting page-turning series where you often laugh out loud from all the witty commentaries. This series is absolutely recommended.
Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows #1) by Kim Harrison
Rachel Mariana Morgan is a witch in her twenties. She is a part-owner of Vampiric Charms.
Vampiric Charms is a freelance runner and security service.
The other owners of Vampiric Charms are Ivy Tamwood and Jenks. Ivy Tamwood is a living vampire that will become a full vampire if she dies, and Jenks, a small pixy.
They used to work together at the vampire-run federal Inderland Security (IS). It's a police service for the supernatural.
Rachel, Ivy, and Jenks, decided to start their own company together, Vampiric Charms.
They live and work together from a decommissioned stone church. The church is in the Hollows district of Cincinnati and has an attached garden and graveyard. Rachel specializes in simple herb-based earth magic. The Curch garden is important for Rachels's magic.
Is The Hollows good?
Overall, an exciting, fun read, that`s hard to put down.
This is a highly recommended Fast-paced and captivating book series.
Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Kitty Norville #1)
Kitty Norville is the wolf with the lowest status in her pack. She is submissive to everyone.
She has just realized that she can make it on her own working as a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station. This means that she doesn't need the pack so much as she used to.
Or so she thinks...
Kitty ends up getting one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail.
She may have bitten off more than she can chew?
Is Kitty Norville good?
It's a while since I last read any of these books, but I remember them as fun and interesting. They are worth reading if you like urban fantasy books.
Stray (Shifters #1) by Rachel Vincent
Faythe Sanders is a Texas grad student and a shape-shifting werecat.
After she is attacked by a stray she is ordered home by the pack alpha, her father.
Female werecats are rare, and two others have gone missing. So it's understandable that her father is worried.
What will happen to Faythe?

The Shifters are ok paranormal books. Not the best, but still far from the worst. Give them a try, they are worth checking out.

Storm Front (The Dresden Files #1) by Jim Butcher
Harry Dresden, a Chicago bound professional wizard, and the only one with an ad in the yellow pages. Business is sadly dreadful, even for a professional wizard PI. So when the local police ask him for help on a strange double murder, he jumps on it.
Is The Dresden Files good?
The Dresden Files is a must-read for anyone with the slightest interest in this gangrene.
Moon Called (Mercy Thompson #1) by Patricia Briggs
Mercy "Mercy" Thompson's life is not exactly normal.
Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire.
Mercy's strange connection to these strange creatures of shadow and night is about to get her into some seriously deep water.
Luckily, Mercy isn't exactly normal herself.
Is Mercy Thompson good?
Moon Called is a great start for a great series. I had much fun reading these books.
Ill Wind (Weather Warden #1)
Joanne Baldwin is a Weather Warden that is accusations of corruption and murder.
She decides to resort to the very human tactic of running for her life.
Her only hope is Lewis, the most powerful of all wardens. Unfortunately, he's stolen not one but three bottles of Djinn - making him the most wanted man on earth.

Written in Red (The Others #1) by Anne Bishop
Meg Corbyn is a cassandra sangue, also known as a blood prophet. What this means is that she can see the future when her skin is cut.
Meg and others like her have been enslaved for their abilities, but she manages to escape.
She stumbles into Lakeside Courtyard, a business district controlled by the others, and she manages to land herself a job as the human liaison.
The others are vampires, shapeshifters, and other magical beings. Humans have no control in their small part of town.
Meg is safe from her enslaver as long as she stays inside the land controlled by the others. But is she safe from the others?

Legacies
Legacies is a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. It follows a new generation of magical beings where some are the children of characters from the earlier shows.
Hope Mikaelson, Josie and Lizzie Saltzman, and Landon Kirby are the main characters. Hope Mikaelson is Klaus Mikaelson's daughter and she is a witch/vampire/werewolf hybrid. Lizzie and Josie Saltzman are the twin witch daughters of Alaric Saltzman. While Landon Kirby is something else.
The main setting in Legacies is The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Its a school for vampires, witches, and werewolfs.
Is Legacies good?
Legacies is an OK show, not great, but worth watching.
If you like this kind of teen fantasy show like Teen Wolf and the Vampire Diaries then its absolutely worth watching.
I personally find Legacies better than The Vampire Diaries, but not as good as the Originals.

Grimms are a group of hunters who fight supernatural forces. They are charged with keeping the balance between humanity and the creatures of myth.
A reformed "Big Bad Wolf", now a reformed vegetarian, becomes his greatest helper and confidant.
Is Grimm good?
The creators have earlier made shows like Buffy and Angle. Grimm has some high standards to live up to, and it does so remarkably well.
This Show is a kind of modern take on the Grimm`s fairytales. Grimm is especially worth watching if you like modern fantasy and police shows.
True Blood
Sookie Stackhouse works as a waitress at Merlotte's, a bar in Bon Temps a small southern town in the states.
One day she meets Bill Compton, a 173-year old vampire. He stands out to her and they hit it off early on.
Vampires are outed to the world.
They try to be accepted as regular humans. A synthetic blood alternative called True Blood is their main strategy for acceptance.
Sookie`s life gets seriously complicated when she gets involved with the supernatural world. But Sookie is not an ordinary person herself either. She has the ability to read thoughts. Except for the thoughts of vampires. Witch is why Bill stood out to her when she met him.
True Blood is loosely based on the book series Southern Vampire Mysteries.
Is True Blood good?
True Bloodis an excellent TV show.
The story separates itself from the books after the first season, but that's OK. You should watch this show.
Buffy: the Vampire Slayer
"In every generation, there is a chosen one... she alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the slayer".
Buffy, a sexy kick-ass high school girl, is her generation chosen one.
Destined to slay vampires, demons and other infernal creatures. And at the same time still trying, and failing, to be just a "normal girl".
Luckily for her, she is not alone in her quest to save the world. She has the help of her group of friends, the hilarious evil-fighting team called "The Scooby Gang".
Is Buffy: the Vampire Slayer good?
Buffy is a classic paranormal teen show. It's a little old, but if that does not put you off then its a must-watch-show.
Lost Girl
Bo is a sexy succubus, and to feed she sucks the life force out of people.
For years she did not know what she was and had no control of her feeding.
She fled one corpse after another.
Until one day she accidentally crossed paths with Kenzi, a drifter, and a thief.
Bo rescued Kenzi from a date rape scum bag by killing him, which this time finally made the fae catch up with her.
The fae is split into two sides, light and dark. Each Fae must choose one of the sides, and stick to it.
Bo, who until now has lived outside the faecommunity, vows to live on her own terms. Even if it means existing alone between the dark and the light.
She manages this with the help of her mischievous, but loyal friends. Her friend Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson and the beautiful human scientist Lauren.
While Bo tries to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past, she and her friends also have to tackle other problems that arise.
Is Lost Girl good?
This is a really cool series if you are into this kind of stuff.
Absolutely worth watching.

Blood+
Two groups have been at war for ages.
The immortal bloodsucking monsters called Chiropterans and the organization known as the Red Shield.
Red Shield was formed to track down the Chiropterans and kill them.
Saya Otonashiis a high-school girl who lives a peaceful life with her family. She sadly suffers from amnesia and can't remember the last year of her life. But other than that, everything is good.
But one day Saya's happy life is destroyed.
A man gives her a katana and she finds herself fighting Chiropterans. And she is good at it. Like she has done this before.
Is Blood+ good?
Blood+ is a good anime that any anime fan should watch.
People new to animes can also try this one out.
The battles have a reason. They are not added on and drawn out like most other shounen anime.
The characters are in focus and it shows how they change and adapt to events happening around them and to them.
Tokyo Ghoul
Ken Kaneki is a shy and bookish college student. When he meets the beautiful and mysterious Rize Kamishiro he is instantly drawn toward her. She is a book reader just like him.
But Rize is not exactly who she seems, she is a Ghoul. And Kaneki is her pray.
Ghouls are creatures that can masquerade as humans and blend in with human society. But unlike humans, they thirst for human flesh.
Tokyo is infested with Ghouls living side by side with humans. They live in hiding and hunt in secret.
Kaneki survives being attacked by Rize, but not without severe repercussions. Some of his organs were destroyed, and the surgeon uses some of Rize's organs to save Kaneki since she died during her attack. Having Ghoul organs in him changes Kaneki.
Kaneki is now half-ghoul and half-human.
Now Kaneki has to deal with his thirst for human flesh and hiding his true nature. Thus begins Kaneki's quest to integrate into both Ghoul and Human society.
Is Tokyo Ghoul good?
Tokyo Ghoul is a dark and gory anime. It has an interesting story and good animations.
I really like this anime.
It's not among the best, but it's still absolutely worth watching. But if you have read the manga then you might be disappointed, or so I have heard.

The Ancient Magus' Bride
Chise Hatori is a 15-year-old Japanese girl that was sold for five million pounds at an auction. She was bought by a tall masked mysterious gentleman.
The mysterious man reveals himself to be Elias Ainsworth. He's a magus.
Elias uses transportation magic and teleports them to his home, a pictures cottage in rural England. So begins Chise's story as the apprentice and supposed bride of the ancient magus.
Is The Ancient Magus' Bride good?
The Ancient Magus' Bride is a very good slice of life fantasy anime. The show is beautifully animated and has great characters. I personally found the story to be a little boring at times, but it's worth watching if you like slice of life stories and fantasy elements.

Ao no Exorcist
Daemons from the realm of Gehenna is intruding into the human realm of Assiah. Among the human race, there are Exorcists who can exorcise those demons that are crossing the realms.
Rin Okumura and his twin brother Yukio was raised by the priest Shiro Fujimoto.
It comes as a shock on Rin when he discovers that their biological father is Satan himself.
Rin vows to become the ultimate exorcist and to defeat his father. To do this he enters True Cross Academy to train with other exorcist candidates. Training at True Cross his goal is to become powerful enough to defeat his father.
Is Ao no Exorcist good?
Ao no Exorcist is a good Anime. it was very good. It's not among the best, but it's definitely worth watching if you like anime.
