Dr. Cal Lightman is a deception specialist that reads the truth from people`s faces. He has partnered up with Dr. Gillian Foster to create the Lightman Group, selling their services as deception experts. His personal team also includes Eli Loker and Ria Torres. They also start to cooperate with the FBI with Ben Reynolds as their liaison. They tackle all kinds of cases using their skills to look for deception.

This is a really good series. It`s interesting to see how facial and body reading is used to solve cases.

Cal Lightman from Lie to Me sometimes helps out the FBI. He is not a private detective like Sherlock, but Cal also has his own thing going on and is not always just helping out the police. Lie to Me is more into reading humans instead of discovering clues and drawing conclusions. But Elementary and Lie to Me have some similarities and if you like Elementary then Lie to Me is worth a try. I personally also find Lie to Me a better show in general.

Rick Castle, a popular crime author, is asked to help NYPD homicide to investigate a murder that is an exact copy of one of the murders in one of his books. Because of his helpfulness in the first case, and his personal relationship with the major, he gets permission to tag along Detective Kate Beckett and her team for researching material for his upcoming books.

It is interesting to listen to all the crazy ideas Castle rattles of for how and why crimes are committed. I really like this show.

Castle is also in the police procedural genre. The main characters Richard Castle also work tightly with the police without being police himself. Castle uses his extended research from writing crime and thriller literature to help out solving cases, but officially he has just used his connections to get an extended ridealong to help his research. If you like Elementary, then give Castle a try, they have many similarities.

Patrick Jane a former famous psychic outs himself as a fake after a serial killer called Red John kills his family. Jane blames himself because he right before the murder where mocking Red John on national TV in his psychic persona. He starts working as a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation so he easier can hunt down Red John. His skills as a mentalist, ex psychic comes in handy when working on cases because he is exceptional at drawing logical conclusions from minute details.

This is a really good show. They drag the Red John story out a little too long, but that`s OK since the main part of the show is the individual cases and the relationships between the characters.

Both Elementary and The Mentalis are about police consultants. Patrick Jane from The Mentalist is more into manipulating people to solve his cases, but he is still excellent at spotting minute clues and drawing good conclusions from them. Definitely give The Mentalist a go if you like Elementary, they have many similar elements. The Mentalist is also a slightly better show than Elementary.

Charles Eppes, a mathematician, and his brother, Special Agent Don Eppes teams up to solve criminal cases for the FBI together. Charles and his friends from CalTech University and uses equations to help solve various crimes.

This is a cool series. I have watched it a couple of times. It`s interesting to see how they use different algorithms to solve criminal cases. Like most shows, they do simplify things. Some of the data points are much too complicated to gather in the time they do and some of the data is way too generalized to get so exact results as they get. I could keep going, but this is not important. This show still rocks.

Charlie Eppes from Numb3rs is also a consultant, but he is not a private detective. Charlie uses his mathematical knowledge to help the FBI to solve cases, he is more theoretical and numbers guy than Sherlock. But Numb3rs has many similarities to Elementary, so its definitely worth checking out if you like Elementary.

Oliver Queen returns home after having being lost at sea for five years and presumed dead. Oliver survived on an uncharted island, but he wasn't alone, and to survive he had to learn how to fight. Back in Starling City as a changed man, he has decided to right his fathers and all others corrupted fallout. He disguises himself with the hood of one of his first mysterious island mentors. Arms himself with a bow and high-tech gadgets. With this, he sets about hunting down the men and women who have corrupted his city.

Arrow is a really good TV show. He feels like a mix between Superman and Batman.

Arrow is a superhuman show, but Arrow himself does not exactly have any superhuman powers, he is more like Batman. Arow is kind of similar to Elementary in that Arrow also uses his excellent skills to solve cases. If you like superheroes and Elementary, then give Arrow a try.

An FBI most wanted fugitive, Raymond Reddington, joins FBI to help bring down criminals and terrorists. He agrees to help to catch these bad guys only if he gets Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI profiler, as his handler. After their first victory, a list of dangerous but unknown criminals is revealed by Red. And with a special team, they start to catch them one by one.

I like it, a cool show. Not only is the show about catching criminals, a second thrilling plotline surrounding Elizabeth Keen is also in play over the whole show. It`s cool to watch worldwide criminals taken down. I wonder if there exist people similar to Raymond Reddington, that would be scary.

The Blacklist is less similar to Elementary then many of the other shows on this list, but The Blacklist still has something that feels a little similar to Elementary. It is also a much better show.

Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan, a highly-skilled forensic anthropologist, and her team join FBI, with Agent Seeley Booth as their handler, in solving crimes where only the bones of the victims are reminding.

Bones is one of the better forensic crime shows. It is based on a book series, but it actually has very little in common with the books.

Bones are more into getting clues from dead bodies than Elementary, and it also tries to be more scientific about it. If you like Elementary then check out Bones. Bones is also a better show.

Sherlock is a new contemporary take on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle stories. Many of the details and stories from the original books are kept, only modernized to fit in today's society and technology. Now his most important tool, after his brilliant mind, is a modern smartphone. Doctor Watson is a fairly young medical veteran of the Afghan war. Together they navigate a web of cryptic clues and myriad of lethal killers to get at the truth

This is the best adoption of the Sherlock Holmes books I have ever watched. It`s truly exciting to watch Sherlock's fast and leaping but accurate deductions. This is a show everyone should try out.

Sherlock is another show based on Sherlock Holmes, so they have many similarities. Sherlock is the superior show, so if you like Elementary then you should definitely check out Sherlock.

A body is found on the Bridg between Sweeden and Denmark, half of the body is in Sweeden and the other half is in Denmark. The Danish and the Sweedish police have to share jurisdiction and work together to find the killer.

The Bridge is an excellent and complex Scandinavian crime drama. It is very good at keeping the suspense up and keep you guessing. The bridge is an excellent show that anyone that loves crime drama shows should watch.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Lund is about to move to Sweden to join her fiancé and transfer to the Swedish police. On her last day in the Danish Police 19-year-old Nanna Birk Larsen is found raped and brutally murdered. Sarah heads up the investigation together with her replacement Detective Inspector Jan Meyer. Sarah has a very driven personality and she can't bring herself to leave the case and move to Sweden until its finished. Troels Hartmann is campaigning to be mayor of Copenhagen but struggles when links are revealed between city hall and the murder. Suspect after suspect is investigated while political pressure is strong to get a swift solution to the case.

The Killing has ha slower pace than most crime shows and in addition to the investigation, it has a heavy focus on the characters and their relationships. The investigation is also interesting and keeps you guessing.

Neal Caffey, a charming con artist, escapes from a maximum-security prison, only to be recaptured by FBI Agent Peter Burke. But instead of going back to prison he is given the choice to help the bureau bring down other elusive criminals in exchange for his eventual freedom.

This is an interesting show, lots of cons and tricks. Cool to watch. If you like crime shows, then you should give it a try.

Brian Finch's life takes an extraordinary turn when he uses the mysterious drug NZT. It allows the users to access their full brain capacity while they are on it. Brian uses this to help the FBI to solve cases.

Limitless has a clever and funny script with interesting characters. It's a good show that ended too soon.

Dr. Kenzo Tenma is a brilliant neurosurgeon living in Germany. He is respected by his superiors for his excellent skills, envied by his peers, and engaged to the daughter of the hospital director. Dr. Kenzo Tenma is well on his way to ascending the hospital hierarchy. His superior orders him to abort the boy's surgery and operate on the mayor instead, who was brought in much later. Having dealt with a similar situation before, and been troubled with a crisis of conscience because of his choice, this time he decides to not follow orders. The boy survives, but the mayor dies, leaving Dr. Kenzo Tenma's career in ruins, his engagement to his fiancé broken. His downward spiral begins when one night, while he is out cold in a drunken stupor the twins vanish from the hospital and the director and two other doctors die mysteriously. Dr. Kenzo Tenma's position is restored. With no evidence to convict him, he is released and goes on to attain the position of the hospital director. Until one day...

Monster is one of the better anime out there, probably the best suspense thriller anime. It has a clever story with interesting mysteries, great characters, and tense psychological drama. Monster is an amazing anime that people that don't watch anime probably also will like.

Monster has lots of mysteries and Dr. Kenzou Tenma has to solve interesting puzzles to solve these mysteries. Monster is more of a thriller than Elementary, and Kenzou does not solve his problems as easily as Sherlock. But if you like Elementary, mystery, and thrillers, then you will not go wrong by watching Monster.

Your emotional state and intentions can be read by the Sibyl system, and the government uses it to stop crime. Cops work in teams made up of Enforcers and Inspectors. Enforcers take out the bad guys, Inspectors stop their partners from going rogue, and the all-powerful Sibyl System keeps a watchful eye on us all.

Psycho-Pass is an interesting dystopia anime. Absolute worth giving a try.

Harry Dresden, a Chicago bound professional wizard, and the only one with an ad in the yellow pages. Business is sadly dreadful, so he jumps on it when the local police bring him in as a consultant on a strange double murder.

The Dresden Files is a must read for anyone with the slightest interest in this gangrene.

Harry Dresden from The Dresden Files is like a wizard version of sherlock holmes, almost. If you like Elementary, fantasy, and books, then I highly suggest that you check out The Dresden Files.

Lord Blackwood, serial killer and occult "sorcerer", was stoped by the legendary sleuth Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr. Watson. But he mysteriously returns from the grave and resumes his killing spree, and Holmes, with the aid of Dr. Watson, must take up the hunt once again.

A good movie with grate actors. This new interpretation of Sherlock Holmes started a sprout of new Sherlock movies and series, which is grate.
