Midnight, Texas is another show that perfectly captures the intricacies of a small southern town. And just like True Blood, it's full of supernatural elements with an interesting cast and story.

If you like True Blood then Midnight, Texas is a perfect show to check out next.

Elena and her brother Jeremy lives in Mystic Falls with their aunt Jenna. She moved in as their guardian after they lost their parents.

On Elena's first day back at school after her parent's death she meats Stefan, a mysterious new guy. What Elena dos not know is that Stefan is an old vampire.

They gradually grow closer, until Stefans`s older brother, Damon, shows up and acts like an evil bastard.

I remember liking Vampire Diaries at on point, but then I grew tired of the show. It is a popular show, so you should probably give it a try.

Both Vampire Diaries and True Blood are based on books. Both shows also have vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural beings.

Vampire Diary is not as good as True Blood. And it's more of a teen show than True Blood.

But Vampire Diary is still worth a try if you like True Blood and like teen shows.

Bo is a sexy succubus, and to feed she sucks the life force out of people.

For years she did not know what she was and had no control of her feeding.

She fled one corpse after another.

Until one day she accidentally crossed paths with Kenzi, a drifter, and a thief.

Bo rescued Kenzi from a date rape scum bag by killing him, which this time finally made the fae catch up with her.

The fae is split into two sides, light and dark. Each Fae must choose one of the sides, and stick to it.

Bo, who until now has lived outside the fae community, vows to live on her own terms. Even if it means existing alone between the dark and the light.

She manages this with the help of her mischievous, but loyal friends. Her friend Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson and the beautiful human scientist Lauren.

While Bo tries to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past, she and her friends also have to tackle other problems that arise.

This is a really cool series if you are into this kind of stuff.

Absolutely worth watching.

Lost Girl focuses more on a single main character than True Blood does. But just like True Blood, it's a supernatural show aimed more for an older audience.

Lost Girl is not as good as True Blood, but it's definitely worth watching if you like True Blood.

The Original is a spin-off where we follow the original vampire family from The Vampire Diaries. They are known as the first vampires and the ancestor of all existing vampires.

I find this spin-off to actually be better than the original series. The reason for this is probably that it is not as teen-focused as the Vampire Diary.

The Originals might be a spinoff from Vampire Diaries, but it targets a slightly older audience. You do not need to watch Vampire Diaries first.

If you want another supernatural show like True Blood then you should give The Originals a try.

Buffy, a sexy kick-ass high school girl, is her generation chosen one.

Luckily for her, she is not alone in her quest to save the world. She has the help of her group of friends, the hilarious evil-fighting team called "The Scooby Gang".

Buffy is a classic paranormal teen show. It's a little old, but if that does not put you off then its a must-watch-show.

Buffy also has vampires and other supernatural creatures in it.

Buffy might be more of a teen show, but it's good.

It's a classic.

Check it out if you want something that is kind of similar to True Blood.

Sam and Dean are two brothers who were raised by their father, John, to hunt and kill evil supernatural beings.

Now they have to set out together to search for their missing father.

When they find him he reveals that he has discovered how to track and kill the demon that killed their mother.

Meanwhile, Sam starts to develop frightening abilities. Abilities that include visions of people dying before it actually happens. These visions are somehow connected to the demon who murdered their mother.

Their father suddenly dies. The brothers, now alone, decides to finish the crusade their father started.

Overall, this is one of the better shows of all time.

Not every season and episode hold top quality, but most are very good.

Give it a try. If you like it then you have something to watch for a long time.

Supernatural is more episodic, but it still has a longer continuous storyline. It's just more thinly spread out over more episodes.

It's worth checking out. It's a good show. And if you like it then you have lots to watch for a long time.

Angel is Buffy's first boyfriend, and he is a vampire.

He is doomed to walk the earth with a soul, which destines him to a torturous life.

Angel moves to L.A. after breaking up with Buffy and sets up shop as a kind of supernatural private investigator.

I personally like Angel better than Buffy the vampire slayer. The only thing that is better with Buffy is Buffy.

Angel and True Blood are both supernatural shows with vampires and other supernatural beings. Angel is more episode-based than True Blood. But just like True Blood, it's not a typical teen supernatural show.

Penny Dreadful follows some unique characters and some figures from classic literature. Dorian Gray, and Dr. Frankenstein and his monster are some of these characters.

We follow these characters as they go about their frightening business in the darkest corners of Victorian London. With vampires, evil spirits and immortal beasts.

Penny Dreadful is a psychological thriller filled with dark mystery and chilling suspense.

Perfect atmosphere, dense, Gothic, surreal and unsettling. A really grim and fantastic depiction of Victorian London.

Some characters are predictable and dull, but many are unique and interesting with literate and dense dialog. And best of all, it has very few cheap jumps scares.

Penny Dreadful is absolutely worth watching. I love it.

Both Penny Dreadful and True Blood are both dark and imaginary shows about the supernatural world.

If you like True Blood then you should definitely check out Penny Dreadful.

Scott McCall's life changes forever when he is bitten by a werewolf and becomes one himself.

Some changes are positive, like strength, super-hearing and super healing.

There are also problems and dangers that come along with being a lycanthrope. Dangers both from other werewolves and other creatures.

But as if that was not enough, there are also werewolf hunters out there.

I like it. I think it is better than similar shows like Vampires Diary. If you like other teen paranormal shows then you will most likely like this one too.

Teen Wolf is more of a teen supernatural show. It's not as good as True Blood, especially if you don't like teen shows. But if you're OK with teen shows then Teen Wolf is worth checking out.

Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt discovers he is a descendant of the fared Grimms.

Grimms are a group of hunters who fight supernatural forces. They are charged with keeping the balance between humanity and the creatures of myth.

A reformed "Big Bad Wolf", now a reformed vegetarian, becomes his greatest helper and confidant.

The creators have earlier made shows like Buffy and Angle. Grimm has some high standards to live up to, and it does so remarkably well.

This Show is a kind of modern take on the Grimm`s fairytales. Grimm is especially worth watching if you like modern fantasy and police shows.

Bitten is based on the excellent book series; Women of the Otherworld by Kelley Armstrong.

We follow Elena Michaels, a werewolf that abandoned her pack. She took refuge in the city where she got a successful photography career.

But trouble is brewing at the packs home, and her alpha is calling her back. What will come of her peaceful life, and will the pack survive?

Bitten is a good show. Not as good as the books, but absolutely worth watching. Especially if you like paranormal fantasy and werewolves. Its not a teen show. It has older actors.

Mitchell, George, and Annie are in there twenties and shares an apartment in Bristol England. However, they are not an ordinary group of twenty-something. They are a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost.

This show has some inconsistencies. Some of the rules about the supernatural changes depending on the plot. But it's still an amazing show.

Absolutely worth watching.

Anita Blake is a necromancer and vampire hunter.

Vampires are protected by law, but when some of them get out of hand, then you call Anita Blake, the Executioner.

Guilty Pleasures, the first book in the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series. It starts out with someone killing innocent vampires.

Anita is approached by Jean Claude, the second strongest vampire in the city. He wants her to help figure out who is killing vampires. Anita agrees to help out after a bit of vampiric arm-twisting.

This is the start of an excellent vampire series.

Well, the beginning of it is excellent. I stooped reading around book 10, it had started to go downhill a little before that.

But the first books are absolutely worth reading.

Rachel Mariana Morgan is a witch in her twenties. She is a part-owner of Vampiric Charms.

Vampiric Charms is a freelance runner and security service.

The other owners of Vampiric Charms are Ivy Tamwood and Jenks. Ivy Tamwood is a living vampire that will become a full vampire if she dies, and Jenks, a small pixy.

They used to work together at the vampire-run federal Inderland Security (IS). It's a police service for the supernatural.

Rachel, Ivy, and Jenks, decided to start their own company together, Vampiric Charms.

They live and work together from a decommissioned stone church. The church is in the Hollows district of Cincinnati and has an attached garden and graveyard. Rachel specializes in simple herb-based earth magic. The Curch garden is important for Rachels's magic.

Overall, an exciting, fun read, that`s hard to put down.

This is a highly recommended Fast-paced and captivating book series.

Kitty Norville is the wolf with the lowest status in her pack. She is submissive to everyone.

She has just realized that she can make it on her own. Working as a midnight-shift DJ for a Denver radio station. This means that she doesn't need the pack so much as she used to.

Or so she thinks...

Kitty ends up getting one sexy werewolf-hunter and a few homicidal undead on her tail.

She may have bitten off more than she can chew?

It's a while since I last read any of these books, but I remember them as fun and interesting. They are worth reading if you like urban fantasy books.

Twilight is the first book in the Twilight Saga.

I remember I liked the books, but they are not good enough for a reread.

Kara Gillian is a detective and a summoner of daemons.

During a routine summoning she accidentally summoned Rhyzkahl, an angelic human-looking creature. She just wanted to use her skill to track down a serial killer.

What is this powerful un-daemon looking creature? And can she stop the serial killer?

Mark of the Demon is the first book in the Kara Gillian series. It is a really great book, just like the rest of them.

Mercy "Mercy" Thompson's life is not exactly normal.

Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire.

Mercy's strange connection to these strange creatures of shadow and night is about to get her into some seriously deep water.

Luckily, Mercy isn't exactly normal herself.

Moon Called is a great start for a great series. I had much fun reading these books.
